Spaceport America

Proposed by Dr. Burton Lee in 1990, Spaceport America is the first facility designed and built specifically for spaceflight operations and is fast becoming the premier commercial launch facility. As the base of operations for Virgin Galactic, Spaceport America is sure to propel the world into the realm of affordable spaceflight.

Notable Events:
2006 – Construction commences on the spaceport.
