Designed with space tourism in mind, the Lynx spacecraft, operated by XCOR, is intended to ferry a pilot, one passenger, and a small allotment of cargo or satellites into the suborbital region of space and return to Earth. Using the traditional horizontal takeoff and landing of a conventional aircraft, the Lynx will soar to an altitude of at least 62.5 miles (100 km) to provide the passenger with an unparalleled view of the sky and stars.
